The Customization of Tessa Elizabeth

Hello, everyone! I want to give a HUGE thank-you to everyone who took my poll. It is super helpful for me to know what YOU GUYS want to see. And, according to what you told me, y’all want more photostories/photoshoots and Day in The Life!

Happy to oblige.

Also, I know what you’re thinking – when exactly is Tessa going to make an appearance on your blog?

Let me explain – when I got Tessa, I knew that I would have to do Travels With Grace and catch up on stuff like Day in The Life before I could let her star on my blog. I am really, really excited for today’s post – the customization of Tessa Elizabeth!!!

I did a VERY INCOMPLETE customization photo process, but I was so excited about getting Tessa and customizing her that I didn’t really do a very good job of taking photos along the way. But what I have is here. 🙂

Now, right before we move on to something much more exciting than announcements and stuff, I want to give a big shoutout to Elysium (formerly known as Avaroo2003 from Ava’s Pokémon Blog), who started an epic new blog you can check out right here. It’s called An Author’s Odyssey, and Elysium posts these super amazing writing prompts that you guys can use. I have started to do it, and it is A TON of fun. I strongly encourage you guys to go check it out, follow, and participate!

Now, onto the Customization of Tessa Elizabeth!!!!

(Note: There may or may not be photos of disembodied dolls. Proceed with caution.)

So . . . our story starts off with a box.

A box I cannot show you a picture of because I stupidly did not cover up our address with a card and you can now see where we live and I’m too lazy to install the Flash plugin so I can edit the picture because I am a very mysterious person.

DSC_0328

Ths is what the box looked liked after I opened it.

(Best. Photo description. Ever.)

DSC_0367

AHHHHHHHHHH IT’S A HEAD!!!!!!!!!

This is Tessa’s hair . . . pre-customization.

DSC_0376

Hope I’m not freaking y’all out with this! If you’re not already disgusted . . . funny story!

So we (my mom and I) have a doll head and a doll body. Why not have a little fun?

My mom as my dad is pulling out of the driveway: Holds doll body up to window, makes arm wave.

My dad pulling out of the driveaway: Does not notice.

Me: Laughing hysterically.

IMG_0077

In case you couldn’t tell, this photo has been majorly cropped so you can’t see all of the baby photos on our back wall.

But now you know that my hair is brown! Big clue as to finding out my true identity. Hey, you have now eliminated half the world population!

IMG_3262

La head.

The two wigs, side by side!

Before gluing it on . . . BTW, how do you spell gluing? Is it glueing?

I will save you the stunningly gorgeous picture of Tessa as she has pins sticking out of her head as the wig’s glue dries. Instead . . . the finished product!!!

Tessa Elizabeth, my very first custom!

I hope you guys enjoyed that little Behind The Scenes view into my messy house process of creating a custom doll. I will see you all on Wednesday for my Valetine’s Day post!

Travels With Grace #3: Washington+ 50 Followers Q&A

Hiya, everybody! It’s Grace here with the third installment of my travel blog! Today I have a super-awesome photoshoot with my cousins Lea, Grace, and Cara. We went to the park and AGs in Alaska, along with the help of her amazing cousins, took pictures of our adorableness. But don’t take our word for it – you can see for yourself!

DSC_0155

My cousins are so amazing.

DSC_0158

I don’t get to see them very often, because they live in the Lower 48 and I live in Alaska.

DSC_0162

DSC_0164

Lea is so adventurous and brave. She inspires me every time I am around her!

DSC_0166

We have so much fun when we’re together!DSC_0172

Sometimes we like to pretend we’re spies.

DSC_0169

Cara is so sweet and playful. She’s the youngest of us all, and I love her sense of style. Look at all the color! #rockingit

DSC_0177

Cousins were made for sharing secrets with.

DSC_0183

Or for cheering you up when you’re having a rough day.

DSC_0182

Grace is so kind. She always keeps an eye on us to make sure we don’t get hurt.

DSC_0174

They’re always there for you.

When I’m with my cousins, I’m never afraid to be myself.

Cousins = Best Friends.

They’re the perfect people to hang out with.

Life is just better with the cousins.

You can tell them anything.

Or just be silly.

DSC_0199

They understand when you need alone time.

DSC_0210

And they understand when you need cousin time.

They’re always willing to give you a helping hand.

They love you as much as you love them.

I wish they lived closer!

“Cousins by chance. Sisters at heart. Friends by choice.”

That’s all for our cousin photoshoot. Unfortunately . . . the rest of our visit wasn’t just fun and games. You’ll have to wait until Monday to find out more!

AGs in Alaska: My turn.

*pause*

AGs in Alaska: What, no complaints? Okay . . . so . . . I’m leaving you at a cliffhanger, yes. But I really, really hope you enjoyed the photoshoot. This is my favorite one that I have ever done, because the setting just looks awesome and the cousins are in it!!! Funny story about this photoshoot: We actually took the pictures at two different parks. My great-aunt gave us instructions on how to get to the park, but we are directionally challenged and kind of wound up at the wrong . . . um . . . park (the one with the teeter-totter). So thirty minutes in, my cousin’s dad came to meet us at the park, but we were at the wrong one. So he took us to the right one (the one with the gazebo in the last picture). I love the park we went to the second time because the gazebo is amazing and is the perfect retro setting for an amazing photoshoot with the cousins.

Grace also fell off of the gazebo (I referenced it in my giveaway post), leaving a dent in her nose and hand. 😦

Now, I have an announcement to make!

….

….

….

I have 50 followers!

You may have already guessed that from the title of this post. Nice going, AGs in Alaska.

Anyway, I was planning on celebrating with a giveway, but I a) just did a Christmas one and b) have to hand-make the things I will be giving away, so that might take a while. I will probably do that giveaway for my 100 followers celebration later on. Instead, I am doing another Q&A! Except this time, the questions have to be about Alaska. And they will be answered by my dolls, not me! If you have a question you want a certain doll to answer, type the dolls name before the question.

Now, get questioning!

See y’all on Monday!

Doll Stuff I Got For Christmas

Hello, everyone!!! There has been a lot happening in the AGBC with Luciana’s upcoming release, Truly Me boy dolls, and whatnot. But I won’t be discussing that right now, becuase . . .

In this post, I will be showing you what I got for Christmas that is doll-related! I am not trying to brag. I just want to show you what I got, because I am super excited about it!!!!!

First off, we have Kit’s Photographer Outfit. I think this thing is so darn cute. My grandma got it for me, just like she got all of the other AG outfits I will be showing you today.

Here is the Blue Rhinestone Studded Dress. I like it a lot, except the hemline is a little short. Some leggings could fix that, but I was being lazy and not wanting to dig through my AG clothes.

This is the AG Graphic Fashion Tee! I think it’s adorable, personally. Since I don’t care for Em’s PJ shirt right now, I think this will be her new one. It matches the pants perfectly!

This last outfit is Z’s Sightseeing Outfit. IT’S SO CUTE!!!!! It looks adorable on Tessa. The dress is gorgeous with and without the shirt.

DSC_0643

DSC_0644

My best friend got me these two pairs of glasses. Tessa can be a movie star OR a nerd!! Can it get any better???? Which pair do you think looks best on her?

DSC_0645

The same friend also gave me this super-cute pattern for AG pajamas!!!

DSC_0646

DSC_0647

Lastly, my father bought me this AWESOME TRIPOD!!!! IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!!!!! The pictures of the dolls and presents above were taken using the tripod, and they look so much better!

I will be getting Tessa’s profile up hopefully today, so check back soon for that!

P.S. I will be getting a new sign-off on January 1st – and I am thinking about revamping my blog’s design!!!!

Twelve Days of Christmas, Day #9: Christmas is . . . Ice Skating

Day #9 already!?!? Can you believe it?!?! I can’t wait for Christmas!!!

And, in the spirit of the season, I did an ice skating photoshoot of Molly! If you like this photoshoot, check out AG Doll Adventure’s ice skating photoshoot here. Coincidentally, we did ours on the same day!

The poem, Frozen Floor, is one I wrote myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Did you like it? I wrote the poem about a month ago, but I never realized how well it would fit with this photoshoot.

Quick story, when I was skating, there was this boy there who was like, “Mom, there’s this girl taking pictures of her doll.” Why is it that people don’t think that dolls are for bigger girls, too??? Amiright???

See you all tomorrow!

Twelve Days of Christmas, Day #7: Christmas is . . . Building Snowmen

Hello, people of the earth! Greetings! ‘Tis I, AGs in Alaska . . . with TDOC, Day #7! Today, Lindsey is building a snowman.

Quick question – do you guys have any ideas for other TDOC posts? I need two or three more ideas. TIA!

P.S. All of the lyrics are from the movie Frozen, and the song is written by Kristen Bell and Katie Lopez.

Do you want to build a snowman?

Twelve Days of Christmas, Day #5: Christmas is . . . Warm Clothes

Happy-Almost-Christmas, friends!

Today’s TDOC post is a winter lookbook. Not all of these looks are Christmas-themed, as I don’t have very many Christmas clothes. I would love it if you guys commented on which outfit you liked the most!

DSC_0393

First up, we have this lovely outfit Morgan is modeling! She is wearing McKenna’s school outfit, a sweat that I’ve had forever, and a headband I made!

DSC_0401

Here’s Emily! She’s wearing coveralls that came out of nowhere, the True Spirit AG meet outfit shirt, the Real Me AG meet outfit pants and shoes, and Emily’s Holiday Outfit necklace. Sorry the shoes aren’t showing.

DSC_0398

Molly is wearing her meet outfit skirt and shoes and Molly’s Holiday Outfit sweater.

DSC_0409

Lastly, Lindsey is wearing some random AG pants that totally don’t fit her, her meet necklace and meet sweater, and the shoes from an AG Easter outfit.

Alright, that’s all for the outfits! Don’t forget to vote on which one you liked best in the comments!
